That's it! SONY the manufacturer of the good ol’ PSP has revealed their long-rumored powerful-portable device.

Codename: NGP (Next Generation Portable) a.k.a PSP 2. The long wait is over! Sony just confirmed that this NGP is coming out next holiday season. So you’re might be wondering right now and asking to yourselves, what are the features of this “NGP”?; What’s the difference between this and the PSP?; Is the graphics better than the PSP?; Can I play my old UMDs in this new device?; How much is this Next Generation Portable or NGP?

Apparently, I will only answer two questions from above. Because you can find the answers to the other questions on the specs below

Q: Can I play my old UMDs in this new device?

A: Unfortunately, No, you can’t play your UMD in NGP since it supports Flash Cart now. And the good news is, if you have any (Legally) purchased PSN Games from your PSP, you can port it to NGP and play it on this new portable device.

Q: How much is this Next Generation Portable or NGP?

A: For now Sony has just made a promise. They announced that it will be “affordable”. I don’t know the meaning of “affordable” in Sony’s vocabulary, but maybe we’ll get updates for the price range of NGP in the next week/months. I hope that consumers and Sony are on the same page when looking for the meaning of the word “affordable”.

So you’ve heard answers from two questions, now you will see the specs of the NGP.

Key NGP features:

- Multi-touch 5-inch organic light emitting display (OLED) as the front display

- Multi-touch pad on the rear of the device

- Dual analog sticks

- Two cameras (front and rear)

- Software titles on small, dedicated flash memory-based cards

- NGP will be able to play PSP titles, minis, PS one classics, video and comics from the PlayStation Store.

[Review] Monster Hunter Portable 3rd [PSP]

Monster Hunter is one of the best franchises in PSP history. And last year we’ve seen the new addition to its collection, the Monster Hunter Portable 3^rd. And as they said, it has sold 2 million copies in Japan on its first week and by the second week the sales hits 3 million copies, and on its first month they’ve sold a total of 4 million copies. According to Capcom this is a record-breaking for the franchise history, it even broke the record of previous Monster Hunter sales on its first week. Also a Limited Edition MHP3rd Themed PSP dubbed as “Hunters’ PSP” was released few days after the game comes out.

But we’re not going to talk about its sales or the PSP bundle, hence we are going to talk and make a review of this game. So let’s start.

Gameplay: 9.2

If you’ve played previous versions of Monster Hunter you’ll notice that you can transfer your old Monster Hunter 2G save file to this one which giving you the ability to unlock bonuses.

There are lots of changes in this game compared to its predecessors. One of these changes is the black Felyne beside the barrel at any quests locations. This black felyne name Nyan Jirou can transport your items to your house during your quest. Another change is that both new and old subspecies now have their own icons. Next is the collaboration with Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker. If you’ve played Metal Gear Solid: Peacewalker, you’ll notice that it was also collaborated with monster hunter where you can fight monsters from monster hunter using Snake. Now it’s time to take turns, you’ll fight monsters in monster hunter to gain some resources that you’ll be able to use to create a Naked Snake suit(for males) and The Boss suit(for females) to be used by your hunter. And it’s not just you but also your felyne comrade will have MGS equipment. And if you and your felyne comrade is using the MGS suit your felyn will hide under a cardbox if you’re ducking.

Another change is you farm, previously Pokke Farm but on this one it’s now called “Yukumo Farm”. Upgrade your farm using Yukumo Points that you can earn by doing quests and picking up monster drops. Now you can send your felyne to a mission who could deliver you quest items. The more felyne you sent onto a mission the more items they’ll bring back to you.

Also what would be a hunting game if you’ll still hunt same monsters? The game features 20+ new monsters (including subspecies) and 14 old monsters. This is the challenge of the game, to fight new monsters and discover their weaknesses. Also if there are new monsters, there will be new areas.

There are 12 weapons you can use in this game. Including the one from Monster Hunter 3 which is the “Switch Axe”, with switch axe it’s like you’re using two weapons you can press R to switch to sword and R again to switch back to axe. In Monster Hunter Portable 3rd Medium Bowgun was removed from weapons list. Well you have your choice whether to be a blademaster or a gunner.

There are now Hotspring inside the guild quest area, and you can get hotspring and drinking quest also from the NPC beside the entrance to the hot spring. Since felyne cooking was removed, hot spring will be your place to improve your health and stamina instead of eating foods cooked by felynes before.

There is still online (ad-hoc) multiplayer where you can hunt monsters with your nearby friends.

That’s all I can say. And still like other Monster Hunter games, MHP3rd is addictive. It has a solid gameplay.

Sounds: 8.7

Sound effects are also improved in this game. The sounds of firing a bowgun, and bow, the slashing sounds of swords, axe, blades, etc. are more realistic than before. But still there are limitations for this platform. The sound effects are better on this one than its predecessor games.

Graphics: 8.6

Gameplay and Sound Effects aren’t just the things they’ve changed in this game, but also its graphics. The graphics are more detailed and enhanced compared to previous versions. You can now see and play a much detailed game in terms of graphics.

Overall: 8.8

Overall, it’s a great game. With the enhancements in sounds, and graphics delivers a great experience you can ever get while playing a PSP game. And I can consider the gameplay as the best changes in this version. I hope I can still see Monster Hunter Portable 4^th in the near feature.

[Review] Medal of Honor 2010 [PC]

This is the first Medal of Honor I've ever played on PC and I found it good. Medal of Honor Series is one of the much anticipated games in gaming history. Let’s get started with this review and let’s see if you’ll also like this game just like me.

Gameplay: 8.8

Single Player:

The gameplay offers a 1^st person shooting, ATV and vehicles driving. And the best feature of this one is that you’ll play on a replica of real-life places. Like some places from Afghanistan and many more. You’ll not also be playing with just one character. You’ll take turns as Rifleman, Special OPS and Sniper. There are also times that you’ll shoot targets while riding a pick-up truck, and a plane. Even though the gameplay is good, the story of this game is short and I felt like it’s an incomplete game.

Multiplayer:

Of course what would be a shooting game like without a multiplayer mode? In this multiplayer mode you can play with your friends through online. The multiplayer entitled “Tier 1”.

Sounds: 8.3

A game without sounds would be the worst game ever, especially if it’s a game like Medal of Honor and other shooting games. The sound you’ll hear with this game is obviously gun shots, team radio, and other sound effects produces by vehicles. But even though you can hear it, what matters is its quality. The quality of the sounds that a gamer wants to hear is a realistic sound, like they’re really on a war. You will feel like you are a real soldier in once you hear these sounds. I suggest you to use headphones if you want to experience a realistic gaming.

Graphics: 8.5

The graphics of the game is one of the factors that should be considered for a quality of a game. When I’m playing a game with a bad graphics it gives me a headache and easily drops from playing the game. If the graphics of a game is great it is possible for a gamer to play it much longer. And this game is the game with a good graphics. The things, surfaces, guns, and other resources in-game are detailed. Even a very tiny thin can, leaves from some plants, and the explosion effects, firing effects are realistic.

Overall: 8.5

This Medal of Honor doesn’t fail it predecessors. You can really feel a realistic war experience in this game. With its features, it worth the price and you’ll not regret buying it. In terms of gameplay, sound effects, graphics I recommend this game to those who loves First-Person Shooting with good gameplay and wants to play with their friends over the internet. But I also recommend this to all gamers.

HEN stands for Homebrew ENabler

Which means PSP with 6.20 (including PSP Go with 6.20) can now run homebrews, and plugins.

HEN doesn't load ISO or illegally downloaded games.

Instructions how to install 6.20TN-B(HEN) (from the Readme.txt):

- Install 6.20 OFW to your PSP

- Install Patapon Demo & HBL on your PSP. (Instructions for loading HBL located below)

- Extract EBOOT.PBP to /PSP/GAME/HEN/EBOOT.PBP, or to /HBL/GAME/EBOOT.PBP if you want to launch it directly.

- Launch Patapon Demo and load exploited savedata (Continue).

- Now, it jumps into HEN mode.

- Enjoy homebrews and plugins (you'll lost HEN mode, if you reset/shutdown the device or if your PSP is crashed).

Instruction how to install HBL:
-Connect your PSP via USB to your PC
-Extract "UCUS98734" from patapon2demo.zip to x:/PSP/GAME
-Extract "UCUS98732_DATA02" from "UCUS98732_DATA02.zip" to x:/PSP/SAVEDATA
-Extract "hbl" folder and "h.bin" from "Half_byte_loader_r109.zip" at the root of your memory stick
-Disconnect your PSP
-Start Patapon 2 Demo
-In patapon's menu Choose Continue
-Load wololo's savedata
-If asked to press any button PRESS "R"
-Then press "R" again and you should be directed to hbl menu

- You need to use a GEN-D3 or prometheus cfw

- try using a savedata fixer (if you don't want to upgrade)

- or wait for hrmfaxi's prometheus - 3 which was said to be the fix for "corrupted data" issues.

How to use Prometheus Module

This will help you running 6.20 games and other games without the need of KHBBS Plugin.

Download:

UMDGENv4

Prometheus v0.2 with WQSG_UMD

Just a tip: Make a backup of your iso file before doing it with WQSG_UMD.

After you've downloaded the file do the ff:

- Extract the Prometheus.rar. You'll get "decrypted" folder and WQSG_UMD_R31.exe

- Open UMDGENv4 that you got from UMDGENv4.rar

- Drag your UNTOUCHED ISO to UMDGENv4 then go to PSP_GAME>>SYSDIR then right click EBOOT.BIN and extract to your desktop or another folder.

- Rename the EBOOT.BIN that you got from UNTOUCHED ISO to EBOOT.OLD and copy it to decrypted folder that you got from Prometheus.rar

- Now Open WQSG_UMD_R31.exe and click Open ISO and choose your UNTOUCHED iso then go to PSP_GAME>>SYSDIR

- Next, drag the EBOOT.BIN, Prometheus.prx, EBOOT.OLD from the "decrypted" folder to WQSG_UMD_R31.

It should be look like this:

- You don't need to save it because it's autosaved to your ISO so be careful when overwriting files in your ISO.

- Finally, copy your new ISO to your PSP and enjoy it without khbbs patch. You can now disable khbbs patch on your seplugins.

Game Categories Plugin

If you have many files on your memory stick (Game category) you might need this. I'm using this almost 6 months now and it helped me to put my homebrews, games, decrypters etc into a category.

After you've downloaded the file above do the ff:

- Extract the file you'll get 2 .txt files and 2 folders "translate" and "seplugins" folder

- Drag the seplugins folder to your psp.

- If you already have other plugins installed like cxmb etc. Open vsh.txt then copy the line inside it and add the line you've copied to your existing vsh.txt

- If you want to add category just create new folder named CAT_TheNameOfCategoryYouWant inside your ISO folder or GAME folder and put your games and homebrews to the categories you've created. e.g. CAT_Games, CAT_Homebrews

- Now disconnect your PSP and have a full restart (I said restart not standby)

- After your PSP starts again and when you're in XMB menu Go to Settings>>System Settings>>Game Categories Mode choose between "Multiple MS", "Context Browser", "Context Menu". then enjoy your categorized menu.

Multiple MS - Categories will be shown with different MS icon/text

Content Browser - Categories will be shown after you clicked memory stick

Context Menu - Categories will be shown at the right side of your Screen

Note: You can't categorize firmware updater files. Also your uncategorized games/homebrews will go to Uncategorized menu

Installing KHBBS Plugin to your PSP to play 6.20 Games

After download the KHBBS Plugin Do the ff:

- Extract the KHBBS Plugin pack. You will get seplugins and KHBBS folder

- Copy both folder to your PSP ( if something pops up that askign if you want to merge folders Click Yes)

- BUT if you already have game.txt and have other game plugins installed just open the game.txt first then copy the texts inside it and paste it to your game.txt then save.

- Now disconnect your psp, and have a full RESTART to your PSP (I mean restart not standy)

- After restarting your PSP go to your game and play the game that is able to use with this patch

- Enjoy!

After weeks of reading tutorials, looking at some resources of other dynamic themes, this is now the product! Although the animation is only a few unlike other dynamic themes out there, I will try to add more animations on my next theme release.

Go! Clock for Fatties

Have you seen the new clock feature of PSP Go! So what you think about it? Impressive huh?

But did you know that you can put that on your psp now? With the help of Hombrew Coder DeViAnTe you can use this Go! Clock for Fatties. It works on PSP 1000, 2000, 3000 as long as it is running a CFW.

Take a look at this:

How to put this on your psp:

-Just download the file below. After downloading extract the file

-You must get GCFF v01 folder. Open that folder and it must contain gcff.prx and vsh.txt

-Now connect your PSP to PC via USB and open the seplugins folder.

-Copy the gcff.prx & vsh.txt to the seplugins folder inside your psp. BUT if you already have other plugins installed just add this line to your existing vsh.txt:

ms0:/seplugins/gcff.prx 1

-After copying those files/texts disconnect your psp to your pc and do a full reboot by holding the power button up until the screen shuts down. then restart your psp.

-Now you have one of the feature of PSP Go!

To use it:

Press L+R+SQUARE - to show the clock

Press CIRCLE to hide the clock

Windows 7 Loader + Remove WAT

This is now the latest working Windows 7 activator that can surpass the Windows February/March Update which can detect the fake Operating Systems.

Thanks to Hazar for bringing this Remove WAT 2.2

How to use this:

-First be sure that you've removed the crack/Loader you've installed before.

-After you've uninstall the Loader of if you don't have any loader installed yet open the file named "RemoveWAT22"

-Just click the "Remove WAT" button

-And then Reboot your System

-After the Reboot check if the "Windows is not genuine" on the right corner i now gone. You may now also apply wallpaper/desktop background unlike before.

-Or you may also check under Start>>Computer>>System Properties it will not tell you that "Windows is Activated" nor "Windows is not genuine"

This Windows 7 Loader v1.7.7 By Daz is another way if you haven't installed any activator nor Loader or let's say you've just installed a fresh Windows 7. You can use this to activate your fresh Windows 7.

How to use this:

-Run Windows 7 Loader v1.7.7 by Daz

-choose Loader - Default Mode (if it didn't work try the other options)

-Then click Install

-The program will be automatically closed, and your system will reboot

-After restarting check the activation under: Start>>Computer>>System Properties it must say "Windows is Activated" (if it doesn't say that then you need to try again with other options or try the Remove WAT2.2 if all the options don't worked on your system)

NBA LIVE 10/NBA2k10 Roster Update

The .txt files inside the rar files contains the missing players that I can't find through out the game.

What does it contains?
It contains the official NBA Roster as of March 8-10, 2010. I've also adjust the sliders in the game.

How to install chickHEN & CFWE on your psp w/ unhackable mobos

Note: This will only work on PSP Slims with TA88v3 and PSP 3000. You also need to have version 5.03 or lower versions installed in order to use this one. This will not work on psp with version 5.50, 5.51 or other version higher than 5.03

Download:
chickHEN w/ 503GEN-C

Step1:
Check the version of your psp. You find it on settings>System Settings>System information

Step2:If you see 4.01 or lower version. If you see 5.03 version skip this step
- Upgrade your psp to 5.03 but NOT higher then 5.03. You can get the update over the internet just google it and you can find it there.
- Put the 503.PBP on your x:/PSP>GAME>UPDATE folder(if you dont have UPDATE folder create one)
- Run the 5.03update on your psp.
- After the update check if your version now is 5.03

Step3: Installing chickHEN
If you're on 5.03 install chickHEN on your psp
- Copy the PICTURE folder and h.bin on the root of your psp if it asks for merging of folder accept the merging of folders
- Run the chickHEN in your psp by going to Photos then wait for a while until your screen tweeks(your screen will be look like a broken lcd with green and brown colors but don't worry it's not broken). If it hangs up try and try until you got it right.
- Now verify if you already installed chickHEN. Go to Settings>System Settings>System Information. You MUST see 5.03chickHEN.

Step4: Installing 5.03GEN-C
- After installing chickHEN next is to install 5.03GEN-C
- Copy the PSP folder in the root of your psp. Click yes for merging of folders
- Run the 5.03GEN-C on your psp.
- Just follow the instructions on the screen you'll see.. press the buttons you need to press in order to install 5.03GEN-C on your psp
- After installing verify if you already have 5.03GEN-C installed in Settings>System Settings>System Information. You MUST see 5.03GEN-C.

Note: If your psp have crashed for some reasons or the battery was accidentally removed you need to redo steps 3&4.

These themes are only for 5.02GEN and 5.03GEN-a/b.

These themes are also for psp 2000 with TA88v3 mobo and PSP 3000
I haven't tested it on 5.03MHU yet but you could test it although it cannot brick your psp.

First download the plugin here:

CXMB for 5.02/5.03

- Extract the CXMB for 5.03.rar and you should get "lite" folder and "CTF_Convertor.exe"

- Open the "lite" folder it contains 2 folders named "cxmb" and "seplugins"

- Connect your PSP to your PC

- copy the "cxmb" and "seplugins" folder in the root of your memory stick

- Then disconnect your psp from pc

- Restart your psp by holding the power button up until it's totally turn off then power it on again.

- Run chickHEN then run your cfw loader (INSTALLER LOADER/5.03GEN-B Quick Updater)

- If you've successfully run chickHEN and cfw loader, in your XMB menu locate to Settings>>Theme Settings>>Theme

- Your psp will restart automatically to apply your theme

- Enjoy using CTF themes

- Note that if you already have any plugins installed just open the vsh.txt inside your seplugins folder then add new line copy and paste this:

ms0:/cxmb/cxmb.prx 1
